He was a person that was a slave. He prayed to God to say get me out of here. He travelled 200 miles to sea, and said to a pirate can I catch ride. Pirate said yes, so he travelled back to his island, and it took 3days. When they got there they walked another 200miles. When he got to church his name was Patrick. They called him to go back to Ireland. Then he was named Saint Patrick.
Patrick was born in Britain and his family moved to lreland and he was kidnapped by Irish raiders. He stayed there for six years working with sheep, he looked up to God and prayed 100 times a day.So one day God told him to leave Ireland so he walked 200 miles to the sea and got on a ship and went back to his family. So an angel told him to go back to Ireland. He worked as a Priest and went back to Ireland to tell the people who was God and all about God and it took 40 years. He died on March 17th and then his life story spread and that's how March 17th became to be Saint Patrick's Day.
