HOMEWORK WEEK 4

How might we change the way we live according to the climate?
Think about the differences in housing, clothing, leisure activities, jobs, sports.....

List at least three things that might change whether you live in a tropical or temperate climate.

    2. In a temperate climate you would be wearing t-shirts and long sleeve shirts sometimes.
    3. Sport in tropical climates would be lots of water sports and in temperate climates it would be more field events.

  3. 1 We would live in different types of houses , in a tropical climate they would be more open to keep cool and in a temperate climate they would be more solid to keep warm.
    2.In tropical climates you might spend lots of time at the beach or in the water as it is hotter and has more sun in a year than temperate climate,
    3, If you wanted to grow banana's you would live in the Tropical climate, if you wanted to grow wheat you would live in a temperate climate

    1. In a tropical climate you would wear shirts and shorts all the time and in a temperate climate you would sometimes need longer sleeves and long pants sometimes in the year.
    2. Jobs in a tropical climate would be near the water near the holiday resorts.
    3. Houses in a tropical climate would need a lot of windows to keep it cool and screens to keep mosquitos and bugs out of the house.

    2.In a temperate climate you would mostly where shorts and a shirt in summer and long pants and jumpers in winter.
    3.In a tropical climate you could go swimming all year because it is hot.
    4. You can only swim in summer in temperate climates.

    1. In a tropical climate it is hotter than temperate.
    2. In a temperate climate it is cooler than tropical.
    3. In a tropical climate you will wear a T- shirt and shorts.

  7. 1. In the tropical climate, it can get hot and we can use air-conditioner to cool us down.
    2. In the temperate it's cooler, so we use heaters and fire places to keep warm.
    3. In the tropical climate it is a good time to go to the water parks.

  8. 1. You might wear cool clothes in a tropical climate all year round whereas in a temperate climate you wear cool clothes in summer and warm clothes in winter.
    2. In a tropical climate you would have fans and air-conditioning whereas in a temperate climate you might not need fans and air-conditioning.
    3. In a tropical climate there is seasonal rain so you would be doing more outside activities in the dry season whereas in a temperate climate it can rain every month so you would be doing less inside activities.

    1.In tropical places long clothes will stop you from getting sunburned.
    2.In tropical places in your home you would need really good air-conditioning and fans.
    3.In tropical places you would like to live near the water so you can go for a swim more when it's hot.

Three different would be ; 1.what you do for sport if you live where its cold you might ice skate if its hot you might swim.2.In a cold climate you would wear winter warm clothes warm climate you would wear skirts.3.lots of cold climates have brick homes for warmth where as here we have timber houses to keep cool.

    Three different:
    1. Houses in a temperate climate would need better insulation because they have big differences in temperature.
    2. In tropical places there is no snow so you can't go skiing, build snowmen or have snow fights.
    3. In temperate places you have to wear warm clothes during the winter and in tropical places you have to wear summer clothes.

  13. 1. In a tropical climate you would wear short clothes like sun dresses, singlets and swimmers. In temperate climate you would wear jackets and long pants during the year.
    2.Living in a tropical climate you would use mosquito nets and fans in your room. In temperate climate you would only use them during the hot months.
    3.In a tropical climate you might do a lot of water sports and in a temperate climate you would be able to do summer sports and winter sports.

    3. In a temperate climate you use a heater in winter, but in a tropical climate you don't need too.

    1. In a tropical climate, you might live in a wooden house on stilts to catch the breeze, but in a temperate climate, your house might be made of bricks.
    2. In a tropical climate, you would wear cool clothes like shorts/skirts, and short sleeved shirts or singlets. In a temperate climate, you may need warmer clothes like jeans and jumpers.
    3. In a tropical climate, you might do leisure activities such as swimming, bike riding and surfing. In a temperate climate you might play sports such as football.
    4. In a tropical climate, farm animals like dairy cows can be left outside, but in a temperate climate, they may need to be kept in a barn or shed.
