Homework Week 1

What was the most unexpected thing that happened during your school holidays?
Did you go somewhere you have never been before?
Did you eat something new or meet someone new?
Did you see anything amazing?

I was lucky enough to take my family to Cairns. We went on the Skyrail through the Daintree rainforest. We also went to Green Island where we saw beautiful coral, clams, amazing fish and even turtles and stingrays. I went to a Greek restaurant for the first time and am not really sure what dish I had as the menu was in Greek ( I do know it was chicken though and very delicious). They even randomly smashed plates on the floor. My kids loved the greek desserts and the Cold Rock icecream their Aunt spoiled them with. The weather was beautiful and I had a fantastic time.

    I went to Springfield's water park with my dad and my brother and I had some new chips, they tasted great. Then I saw two big pools, then me and my brother went swimming for a few hours. Then we went home.

    On the holidays I went to Dreamworld with my sisters and my Mum, I had a great time because I went on some rides that I had never been on before. At lunch we went to a buffet and I tried some potatoes with parsley on them they tasted delicious! After we went to Dreamworld we went to White water world because it was very hot. After we had finished we went home.

    During the first week of the holidays we went ice skating and I slipped over lots.
    The second week we went to Lennox Heads camping. We swam in the lake and we also saw some dolphins off the beach. We ate sushi at Bryon Bay and ice cream at Lennox.

    1.The most unexpected thing was that I discovered that The Big Mandarin is an office for a caravan park.
    2. Yes. I went to Daydream Island which is in the Whitsundays. When we were driving up there we saw lots of towns that we have not been to before.
    3. Yes. I drunk some bore water at Roma. It did not taste nice.
    4. Yes. I saw the coral and sea life in the Great Barrier Reef.

    I went and saw three movies. Which were Pixels, Oddball and Pan, they wear really good. Then Molly came over for one sleepover, but Mrs Pugh said two instead. I played with my friend Ashlee across the road. I bought a new car too and it is a red jeep. Then I also went to little a's. I was very good at my 800m run.

    I went camping in the holidays with my family and friends. I checked the yabbie traps in a kayak , and went on a tube ride with my mum, and we did not fall off. I did not not expect to catch a yabbie, but I did and I named it Ted.

    I went to the Brisbane Kung Fu Camp at Mount Barney Lodge and went on a hike on a small mountain to have a great view of Mount Barney. I saw Mount Lindesay as well. On our last night we had rainbow fire it looked awesome. I met a new friend called Louise she works with Brisbane Kung Fu.
    When we got home from the camp, my mum and I went to see Pixels at the cinemas. It was quite funny.
    On the Public Holiday, I was watering the grass and I hosed my mum and dad when they were not looking, it was so funny.

    1. The most unexpected thing that happened on the holidays was that my sister Amanda is having a baby. The baby is due next year in winter.
    2. We also went to Coolangatta for the holidays, we had pizza from a shop called Ned Kellys Pizza. They also sold rock candy and ned kelly beer holders.

    2. We also went to Coolangatta for the holidays. We had pizza from a shop called Ned Kelly's Pizza. It was yummy. They also sold Ned Kelly rock candy and beer holders.

    1.We went for as swim at my Nanna,s house and the water was very cold.
    2.We went to Jimboomba park to ride my BMX bike and I can do jumps on it.

    We went to my auntie Minnin's art show in Brisbane and had lunch on the KURILPA BRIDGE and did activates in the swamp rats room.

    On my holidays I went to Yamba in NSW, I have never been there before. We stayed at a fishing shack. The most unexpected thing was a peacock in the back ward of were we were staying. It was a boy. Their were rabbits too. At first I thought they were wild pigs. When we had our friends over we had rainbow fire, it was blue & green. I got a red & black BMX bike. I got to try crab and I thought it was disgusting.

    On the holidays I went to the movies and watched Oddball. The movie is about a merima dog who rescues penguins from foxes.

    On my holiday I went to Fraser Island for a week. I didn't know that dad had packed in our toboggans so I was surprised when we went sand tobogganing on the dunes at Sandy Cape. I was amazed that I ran in to my friend Tayla from Beaudesert at Fraser Island. Something new that I did on my holiday at Fraser Island was pipi hunting on the beach. I had such a beautiful time at Fraser Island that I didn't want to come back to school.

    The most unexpected thing that happened to me, was watching the Cowboys win the Grand Final. Also watching the movie Oddball. When we went camping, we accidentally ran into a swan while tubing. It was an awesome holiday.

    1. The most unexpected and the best thing that happened on my holidays was, going to Lilly's place for a sleepover. We went to little A's and went out for dinner then went home and watched movies till late.
    2. Going to little athletics was a new experience for me. I enjoyed it.
    3. I tried couscous for the first time. It was alright.
    4. I saw something amazing. It was a tree with a huge hole in it. A man could stand up in it. My brother Murphy did.It was at Tamborine Mountain bush walk.

    1. On the holidays we went whale watching, I didn't like the movement of the boat. We saw lots of whales with their babies. They didn't come very close to the boat .We wanted to see Migaloo the white whale, but he wasn't around.
    2. We saw Oddball the movie, it was very good!

    On the holiday I went camping with my parents to Canungra. I meet some new people there and toasted big marshmallows on the camp fire.
