Give me three reasons with examples in dot points why you believe either the Summer or Winter months are more fun.

Make them persuasive. We will be writing on this topic starting Monday so if you do your homework early it will be to your advantage. Try and be original. You may ask family members for their opinions. Please type the answers yourself as we really need to work on our typing skills.

OUR MASS THIS FRIDAY  9AM
ALL WELCOME

Congratulations to all of you for presenting a wonderful assembly.
It is 3White's Mass on Friday and some of you have words to practice. If you don't have a speaking part this mass, don't worry we will lead more services this year.

This week for homework you need to;

1/ Learn your spelling. Make sure you write your words out at least once then you may like to go on Soundwaves online for further segmenting practice or games.

2/ Read each night :)

3/ Complete all your mathletics tasks.

4/ You may want to finish your addition and subtraction from the weeks revision if you did not finish it in class.

5/ Talk to your parents about our lenten promise and see if you can bring something in to help the poor.

6/ Do something to make each person in your family smile. It may be just a cuddle or maybe read a book or play nicely with your brothers and sisters. Please comment on what you have done to make your family feel special.

Homework - Due 5th March

Homework Week 6

Image result for class assembly
This Friday is Year 3's assembly! All of grade 3 got together to talk about what we were going to present. We've decided upon showing off some of our fabulous Australian Landmarks art, teaching others about Project Compassion and Lent and finally sharing our Geography knowledge of the states and territories in Australia.

Your task for this week is write and learn one sentence which you are going to say at assembly. (Remember what you talked about with your group - natural / human feature / capital city / one fact, Lent or Project Compassion)

Don't forget you get 3 dojo's every week if your Mathletics tasks are up-to-date. You do get some time to do them in class but it would be great if you spent some time at home revising what we are learning too.

HOMEWORK WEEK 3 Due:11th February

This term our class is studying how a change of state between a solid or a liquid can be caused by adding or removing heat.  As part of our science unit Melting Moments we would like students to think about when melting is commonly seen in the home. The children have been undertaking some experiments in the classroom and their task this week is to;

Experiment with something at home that will change from a solid to a liquid or a liquid to a solid by adding or removing heat.

1. What was your experiment?
2. What did you do to change your object? What did it look like? How long did it take to change from a solid to a liquid?
3. Can you change it back into its original form/shape?

Please use some great scientific words in your comment so others can also learn from your experiment.
If you would like me to put up some pictures that you have taken of your experiment on the blog, please email them to me. Otherwise please bring in a photo or a drawn picture of your experiment next Wednesday 11th February for our science lesson.

Happy experimenting :)
